We began by looking at Jimi’s unique approach to playing rhythm guitar – blending lead licks and RnB fills with regular chord shapes.

In this video we look at the famous ‘Hendrix Chord’, the 7#9 chord and look at it’s use both in Hendrix’s style as well as in the songs of artists as diverse as Stevie Ray Vaughan, James Brown, and Michael Jackson.
